Effect tags are tags that allow you to add visual effects to the illustrations, manga, and novels you post.
There are various types of effect tags, including seasonal effect tags, inspired by the current season, and collaboration effect tags created in partnership with anime, games, and other official content.
The appearance and display period for each effect tag is different.
You can check the display period and tag name for each effect on the news page, in the event overviews posted by the pixiv team, or pixiv's official X account.

How to use
You can use effect tags in two ways:
- Post your illustrations, manga, and novels with the specified tag during the event period on the illustration submission screen. Please note, some effects may only apply to certain content types (e.g., illustrations only) and may not appear on all kinds of posts.
Click "Check" under "Check animation" to preview how the effect will be displayed on your work before posting.
*For illustrations and manga: The effect can be previewed by adding the specified tag and uploading at least one image.
*For novels: The effect can be previewed by adding the specified tag and clicking "Check" or "Preview" to view it in the preview screen.
*The pixiv app doesn't support animation previews. - Add the specified tag to illustrations, manga, or novels you have posted in the past during the event period.

*The pixiv app doesn't support editing tags. Please log in via the desktop or mobile version of pixiv to make edits.
How the effect is displayed on illustrations
If multiple images are posted, the effect will be applied to all uploaded images.
How the effect is displayed on manga
The effect will only appear on the first image in the work details page. It will not be displayed in the manga viewer (the screen that appears when you click "Read work" on the manga details page).
How the effect is displayed on novels
In novels, the effect will be displayed for a short time when you start and finish reading.

Notes
- After the period for the tag ends, the effect will automatically be turned off even if the tag is used.
- Effect tags will work only if you tag your own post. Tagging other people's work will have no effect.
- In the pixiv app, the effect's appearance may vary depending on your app version and OS.
