With the "Print with pixivFACTORY" feature, you can bundle multiple works from a series and submit them together. You can submit all works from a series together, or you can choose specific works from the series to print as a book. To submit your manuscript, please check the following notes, then follow the steps outlined below.
Notes
- Illustrations are not supported.
- Links embedded with special tags, links to other pages, and links to reference materials in novels are not supported.
- Edits to the font and text size are not supported.
- Emojis and special characters specifically for digital devices may not be exported properly.
- You may print books that are written in languages other than Japanese. However, please note that the pixivFACTORY printing service itself is only available in Japanese.
- If even one work in the series you submitted is age restricted, the R-18 rating will be displayed on the cover. (Even works rated R-18G will be listed as R-18 in submission data).
Printing procedure
Below is a guide to the procedure on mobile. On desktop, the appearance may differ slightly but the features available are exactly the same. The pixiv app does not currently support the "Print with pixivFACTORY" feature.
- You can submit series works using any of the procedures below.
① Open the series you wish to print, and tap "Print on FACTORY".
② Open the details page for one of the works in the series and tap "Print on FACTORY". At the bottom of the preview page, go to "You can bundle a series into a single book", then select "Bundle".
③ From your Dashboard, select Works > Novels > go to the three-dot mark for the series you wish to print, and select "Print on FACTORY". - For each procedure, tapping "Print on FACTORY" will open a preview page for the manuscript you wish to submit.
- 3. Once you have checked the preview, tap "Proceed to printing". You will then be able to download the manuscript data. You can check the following stage of the procedure from item 4 in the Help article "How do I print a novel I've posted to pixiv through pixivFACTORY?"
Preview notes
- The cover, title page, table of contents, body text layout, afterword and colophon will be displayed in the preview.
- Only the first open page of the body will be displayed in the preview. You can check the other pages after downloading them.
- The maximum number of pages is 300 pages including the covers (covers are counted as 4 pages in total). If your novel is over 300 pages, a warning message will be displayed at the bottom of the preview indicating that the page limit is 300 pages, and you will not be able to tap "Proceed to printing".
- The title page, contents page, and colophon will be displayed as numbered (page numbered) in light grey in the top right corner, but these numbers will not actually be printed.
- The cover and title page will show generated information in light grey in the bottom right corner, but this information will not actually be printed.
