The pixiv Novel Image Maker is a feature that allows you to create images out of your novels.
Click or tap the "Create an image" button from the desktop or mobile version of the pixiv Novels page to easily share an image created from your novel to social media.
* This feature is not available in the pixiv app.
How to create an image
Click or tap the "Create an image" button at the bottom of your novels on pixiv.
A settings page will appear, offering options to customize your image; you can choose the text to display, the template, and the orientation of the text.
These instructions are for the mobile version of pixiv, but the process is similar on the desktop version.
*You can only create shareable images for your own novels if they are set to "Public", "Logged-in users only", or "My pixiv only".
Changing the quoted text
You can change the text to be quoted by tapping "Reselect text".
Simply drag to select the portion of text you'd like to use.
Choosing a template
Choose a template that suits your needs depending on the length and mood of the passage you want to share.
Changing text orientation
You can choose between horizontal and vertical orientations for the text in your image
Changing font size
The font size for the quoted text in your image can be adjusted to auto, small, medium, or large, depending on your preference.
Changing displayed information
You can choose whether to display the work's title and author's name in your image.
Tap the toggle next to the information you wish to include; when the toggle turns blue, that information will be displayed in the image.
Sharing your image
On mobile:
Once your image is ready, tap "Share" and select the social media where you want to share it.
If your device or social media allows it, the image you've created will automatically attach to the post. From there, you can add a caption or any additional text before sharing it.
*Depending on the social media you choose and your device type, the image might not be attached automatically. In that case, download it to your device first and manually attach it to your post.
On desktop:
Once your image is ready, clicking "Share" will download the image to your device.
From there, you can manually upload and share the image on the social media of your choice.
