If your account has been accessed without authorization, don't panic. Please follow the steps below to secure your account.
1. Check your login history
First, open the login history of your pixiv account and check for any unfamiliar access.
Regardless of whether you find suspicious activity, proceed to the next step.
2. Identify and address the cause of the unauthorized access
The steps you need to take will vary depending on whether there's any suspicious login history and how the unauthorized access occurred.
Please review the section that best matches your situation.
- If you log in with a password
- If you log in with an e-mail
- If you log in with Google, Apple, X, Facebook, or Weibo
- If no suspicious login history is found
If you log in with a password
Please update to a secure password or delete it altogether from the password change page.
Recently, we have noticed an increase in logins using stolen passwords leaked from other services, or stolen via malware or malicious browser extensions.
We recommend deleting your password and switching to safer authentication methods like a passkey.
When you're done, proceed to step 4.
If you log in with an e-mail
It's highly likely that your e-mail account has been compromised.
Please check the help or support documentation provided by your e-mail service provider (such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, or your mobile carrier) to recover your account, and take the following steps to strengthen your security.
- Update your login settings (e.g., your password)
- Log out of all active sessions to ensure no one else remains logged in
- Enable two-factor authentication and other security measures
- Check for any unintended e-mail forwarding rules and remove them if found
- Review your spam filters and block settings, and delete any rules that may prevent you from receiving messages from pixiv
If unauthorized login activity is detected, pixiv may restrict certain actions using your registered e-mail address (such as "Log in with e-mail") in order to protect your account. We recommend setting up additional login methods, such as a passkey.

When you're done, proceed to step 3.
If you log in with Google, Apple, X, Facebook, or Weibo
It's highly likely that the linked account used for external login has been compromised.
Please take the following steps.
- Update your login settings (e.g., your password)
- Log out of all active sessions to ensure no one else remains logged in
- Enable two-factor authentication and other security measures
When you're done, proceed to step 3.
If no suspicious login history is found
If you notice unusual activity even though there are no unfamiliar entries in your login history, the cause may be malware on your device or a malicious browser extension you installed.
In some cases, browser extensions that were safe at the time of installation may later be updated to include harmful code.
These attacks can steal your active session, allowing unauthorized access without creating a new login record on the service.
Please take the following steps.
- Use trusted security software to scan and remove malware from your device
- Review your browser extensions and delete any that are not from trusted developers
If your account uses a password, there's also a possibility that it has been stolen via malware or an extension.
In that case, be sure to follow the steps outlined in "If you log in with a password".
3. Log out from other devices
Even after addressing the cause of the unauthorized access, a third party may still be logged into your pixiv account.
For this reason, you'll need to force logout from all other active sessions.
If you log in with something other than a password, please force logout from all other devices at the following page.
https://accounts.pixiv.net/logout-others
If you log in with a password, all other sessions will be forcibly logged out automatically when you change or delete your password, so no further action is necessary.
4. Check your account settings for any suspicious changes
There is a possibility that some of your account settings were changed following unauthorized access. Please review and correct them as needed.
First, access your Account Portal and check for any suspicious changes to your login and security settings. Review the following fields and make adjustments if necessary.
- Password: If a third party may have changed it, update to a secure password or delete the password altogether.
- Passkey: Check the passkey creation dates, and if you don't recognize a passkey, delete it.
- Third-party service logins: A third party may have replaced them with their own accounts. To be safe, disconnect all linked accounts, then re-link only those you use.
Once you've checked and updated the above, please also review the following settings on pixiv and its related services to ensure no unauthorized changes were made.
- Linked accounts settings: Look for any unfamiliar external service connections.
- Payment settings: Confirm your payout bank account details, item visibility, and other payment-related settings.
- Public information: Review your profile and posts.
5. Strengthen your security settings
To prevent unauthorized access to your pixiv account in the future, we recommend strengthening your security settings.
In particular, taking the three steps below will greatly improve your account's security.
- Delete your password
- Set a passkey
- Enable two-factor authentication
